Halloween 2026 · Boxes ship Oct 1–26

Gift sets for people who like a little fright with their marshmallows.

Ten small-batch boxes, packed by two people and one very unhelpful cat. Candles, candy tins, cocoa, and porch-night nonsense — wrapped in kraft paper and tied with black ribbon.

  • Packed and shipped from Asheville, NC
  • Gift note written by hand, free
  • Paper and cloth, no plastic filler

Every set is assembled to order the week it ships, so nothing sits in a warehouse tasting like cardboard.

Why people keep coming back

Four things we refuse to cut corners on

We are not trying to be the biggest Halloween shop on the internet. We are trying to be the one you open and think, oh, someone actually thought about this.

  • Real objects, not filler

If a box needs tissue paper to look full, we change the box. Every set has at least three things you would keep after the holiday.

  • Packed the week it ships

Candy and cocoa go into boxes days before they leave, not months. We buy small, sell out, and restock on a schedule we can actually keep.

  • Fewer boxes, better boxes

Kraft board, paper tape, cloth ribbon, and paper cushioning on the inside. Our boxes go straight into recycling once you have taken the good stuff out.

  • Escape hatch packaging

Every set ships with a card that says what is inside and how to opt out of the spooky bits. Not every gift should involve a rubber spider.

From order pad to porch

How a Moonpick box gets made

Three steps, one long table, two pairs of hands. This is the actual process, not a marketing diagram.

  1. You tell us who it is for

Not required, but it helps. Note the person's age, whether they have kids, and whether they actually like scary things. We swap the chocolate for the peppermint bark, or pull the spider.

  2. We pack it on Tuesday

Boxes are assembled in one afternoon, one at a time. The card is written by hand while the wax seal cools. If something is out of stock, we email before we substitute.

  3. It lands before the 31st

October boxes ship Monday through Thursday so they never sit in a truck over a weekend. See shipping & returns for the full picture — including what happens if the mail is slow.

A note from the packing table

We started with one box for one friend

In 2019 we put together a Halloween care package for a friend who had just moved across the country and knew nobody in her new town. It had a candle, a bag of good caramels, and a badly drawn ghost. She called to say it was the first thing that had made her feel at home.

We made eleven the next October. Then forty. Now we sell ten designs, keep the list short on purpose, and still draw the ghost ourselves.

If you are here to send something to someone who needs a small good thing in the mail, that is exactly who we built this for.

Questions we actually get

Before you fill out a box

Short answers, no games. If yours is not here, the contact page reaches a real inbox that gets checked on weekdays.

No — and we would rather say that up front. This is a design demo of a Halloween gift shop. The catalog, prices, and the box-building list are all functional, but nothing connects to a payment processor, so no order can be placed and no money changes hands.

Talk to the people who pack

Ask us anything, including the weird questions

If you are wondering whether a box works for a seven-year-old, a mother-in-law, or an office of eight, we will tell you honestly — including when the answer is that another shop does it better.
